Pool Table Felt

Pool table felt will allow you to truly customize the look of your game pool table with a variety of different colors and fine fabric on top of the slate. Pool table felt is usually a 75% wool / 25% cotton blend and is very fine to allow maximum ball movement. Table felt can be very expensive to replace as pool table felt installation should always be done professionally. If you are buying a new table, you will likely not worry about felt replacement for quite some time. However, if you've got small scratches or rips in your felt that are effecting your game or display, there are a few things you should know:

• A 7' pool table felt will generally cost you under $100 to buy. Most retailers will offer you between 10 to 15 different colors ranging from the standard green to maroon to electric blue.

• Older tables used glue to hold down the outside 6" of cloth on the table. If your table used this method, you will need a bottle of adhesive before installation. I recommend 3M Super 77 Adhesive for this, as it will always keep your felt where it should be and will cost you just under $20.
• If you want true high class, you will want to look at the Sterling brand name for pool table felt. Sterling Pool Table Cloth is said to be of the highest quality and contains the highest thread count. However, prepare to pay around 200$ for a standard felt! Color choices are minimal, too.
