Poker Tables

If you're serious about turning your games room into a true showpiece, you can't afford to be without a poker table. You'll be surprised at what a difference it makes for your weekly or monthly games to play on a genuine poker table instead of an old picnic table or cast-off kitchen set!

Poker tables are different from other card tables because they come with slots for chips, cards and sometimes even ashtrays and drink holders built into the table surface. Prices range from about $200 to thousands of dollars for handcrafted oak and mahogany tables with a pedestal base.

You'll need to decide whether you want a square table (which limits the number of players) or a larger round or octagonal table. Most budget-priced models are availabe as folding sets, while higher-priced models often have a permanent pedestal base which turns your poker table into a games room centrepiece.

If you're going to invest in a poker table, it's also a good idea to get a folding vinyl service top, which can be placed over the playing service to allow the table to be used for other purposes between games!

Other options for serious gamers include folding blackjack tables with player positions printed on the felt surface, or oval Texas poker tables with a dealer slot.

If you are only an occasional player you might want to consider a folding poker table top, made in vinyl or wood, which has chip and card slots but is meant to lie on top of an existing table of similar dimensions.
